Step one: Find Your Group 

Heighster, it's time to grab a few friends or your family and form your group for Neighbor Day!

Step Two: Brainstorm the Project 

Explore possibilities for how your group can meet a specific need in your neighborhood or community: 

  • What is your group passionate about? 
  • What skills, experiences, and resources do you have? 
  • What connections do you share in common (workplace, sports, school, camping)? 

If you’re stuck, ask for help! 

Step Three: Plan the Project 

  1. Set a date and time. 
  2. Assign responsibilities. 
  3. Gather supplies. 

Step Four: Do the Project

Begin with prayer.

Listen. Answer this question together before you start: What are you most excited about today? 

Eat together before or after your project. 

Serve doing your project. 

Story. Answer these questions together before you end: What was your favorite part of the day? Where did you see God at work? 

Step Five: Share your Story

Celebrate Neighbor Day with the rest of us! Post pictures or video on social using #NeighborDay2026.
